Synopsis: -
| Ashanti is set against the background of the modern slave trade. The Linderbys are both doctors, but David (Michael Caine) is English and white, while Anansa is American and black, her ancestors were from the Ashanti kingdom in Ghana. Believing she is a native Ashanti, Anansa’s abductors are surprised to discover that she speaks English and is a World Health Organization doctor. When Suleiman discovers who she is, he realizes that he is likely to make more money than usual and end up in much more trouble.
