Synopsis: -
Episode 3 of the 6 part BBC1 series
Just before General Campbell?s memoirs were due to be published, not only part of the manuscript but the general himself suddenly disappeared, to the consternation of his daughter Alison and surprise of Roger Kenyon. Meanwhile, the General?s secretary, Isobel Gilmour, has also left London, and the last link with the missing author was broken, until the Reverend Murdo Aitcheson arrived out of the blue to warn Alison that her father was in Scotland on very private business, and that Isobel was secretly on her way to join him.
